How to care for your Gardeco cast iron product:
All cast iron products from Gardeco are coated with heat resistant paint that can withstand heat of up to 650 degrees but is NOT rust resistant. If temperatures exceed 650 degrees, the paint inside will being to burn off and expose the metal underneath to the elements, which will naturally begin to rust.
To prolong the life of your cast iron product, rusty cast iron is easy to repaint by simply brushing down the rust with sand paper or a wire brush and repaint with suitable paint from your local DIY store.
