Patio Heaters

We all want to extend our time in the garden throughout the year, and a gas or electric patio heater allows us to do just that. By simply flicking a switch, you have instant heat outdoors.

As you have probably invested in garden furniture and you really want to get the maximum use out of it, adding an outdoor heat source extends the season and enables you to enjoy your garden, even in early spring and late autumn. Full-height gas versions are available with either a powder coated or stainless steel finish. Some designs have an attractive living LED flame, and these are often used commercially outside bars and pubs. The gas bottle is typically stored within a housing at the base of the heater, for easy storage when both lit and not in use.

More recently, electric outdoor heaters have become popular, especially with the latest development in halogen and infrared technology, which makes the heat output more controllable. These can be free standing full height or table top versions. They all offer great directional heat output, especially the table top varieties, as they are designed to keep everyone seated around the table cosy and warm, late into the evening. Another affordable option is a parasol electric heater, which clamps around a parasol pole with four infrared heaters directing downwards to the diners around the table. Another innovation to heating commercial outdoor spaces is the Heatscope electric heater. These wall or ceiling-mounted infrared heaters all have an IP44 rating. Some have an option for remote temperature control operation, making them ideal for outdoor areas at hotels, bars, and pub gardens.

As an alternative outdoor heater, you may be interested in browsing our selection of fire pits or chimineas, as these offer a wood-fired version.
