Petrol Lawn Mowers
If you are looking to buy a petrol lawn mower then there are a few points you should consider. They are all powered by a petrol engine, making them more powerful than other options, so they are well-suited to medium and large lawns.
Four-wheeled models are designed for uneven lawns, whereas mowers with a rear roller are best suited to level, flat lawns, with the roller creating the classic striped appearance. Petrol hovers are perfect for steep slopes as the hovering motion makes them manoeuvrable and lighter to tackle sloping ground. If you want a more manicured lawn, the classic petrol cylinder mowers are ideal, but these do require a level lawn.
Due to the engine, these mowers are generally heavier, but that also means they are more robust. To assist with manoeuvrability, you can select a self-propelled option, and some even include electric start. In addition to the mower type, consider what cutting width you need. The larger the garden, the wider the mower should be. For large lawns and paddock style land, you may need a ride-on tractor-style mower, to allow you to mow a large area speedily, with or without grass collection.
