Grubs Boots Buying Guide
Grubs Boots are reinvented neoprene wellies, made to the highest standard from a durable and lightweight combination of neoprene and rubber. Every pair is fully waterproof, from top to toe, and they are a backed by a one-year manufacturer's warrantee guarantee the high-quality materials. They are designed to give you the best warmth, grip, and comfort of any boot available, and they come in a wide variety of styles suitable for any outdoor use. We recommend buying the right boot for the right job to minimise wear. We have made a list of every style of Grubs Boots, and this guide highlights all their unique features to help you find the perfect pair.
Fieldline boots are the standard replacement for traditional Wellingtons, but they are even more comfortable. These all-terrain boots are made for people who like to wear wellies all day. They feature a comfortable Vibram sole, a reinforced toe, a 5mm neoprene upper with nylon outer protection, and an easy-to-clean rubber shell. They are perfect for walking the dog and other everyday medium-duty tasks. They also make a popular general-purpose farming boot.
The Shoreline is made to a similar specification, but it has less outer rubber and TREDZ sole for a great grip on muddy ground.
Frostline boots are everyday Grubs made for high performance at low temperatures. They have a thick 5.0 mm neoprene lining for extra warmth. Iceline Grubs Boots are even warmer, with the same thick neoprene paired with an added layer of fleece. They are 100% waterproof with excellent grip on a variety of surfaces. Frostlines are unisex, and they come in a wide variety of colours to suit men and women alike. They can be used down to -20 Celsius, and Iceline are suitable down to -40 Celsius.
Agriculture and farming
Farming boots are specially designed for agricultural activities where you are likely to come across a variety of surfaces including muddy fields, grassy yards, and slippery paths. Each boot has a unique sole created to suit the performance needs of the boot.
Tayline boots have a reinforced toe and prominent heel for downhill walking. They have a TRAK sole with a deep tractor-like tread for the best grip on soft earth or snow.
Fenline boots have a hard toe and a TREDZ sole with a good perimeter grip and central studs for grip on soft ground.
Eskline boots have a hard toe, prominent heel, and a dual fleece-neoprene lining for extra warmth down to -40 Celsius. The TRAXION sole is designed with a combination of slip-resistant lugs that propel the foot forward for the best overall stride.
Safety and Construction
Grubs ceramic safety boot and driver boot are the world's first metal free safety boots with S5 standard. Construction workers must comply with correct footwear by law, and these styles provide a combination of ceramic safety toes, oil resistance, slip resistance, and anti-penetration soles. Not only do these meet strict legal requirements, but they are also 100% waterproof and warm to -20 Celsius. This makes them ideal for construction sites and for digger drivers.
Sport and field
Grubs specialises in footwear for the great outdoors, and sports shooting and hunting is just one area that requires specialist equipment. If you are shooting in the cold, wet woodland or spending the day on a peg on a shoot, the Stalking, Snowline, Ptarmigan, and Treeline boots are ideal. These all have a rugged Vibram multisport sole and are completely waterproof right up to the top of the boot, perfect if you need to wade in a stream. The Treeline and Snowline ranges are insulated to -40 Celsius and the Stalking and Ptarmigan are insulated to -20 Celsius. Snowline is one of the most popular field boots worn for night fishing when conditions are particularly cold. They are also perfect for expeditions to far flung places that require extreme footwear.Shop all Hunting Boots >>
Riding and equestrian
Rideline, Outline, and other Grubs equine boots have been designed by a team who really understand the demands of riding and what is expected from a good riding Boot. The Rideline style is a tall, hard-wearing, ladies' boot, in sizes UK 4 to 8, and it is ideal for everyday riding. The shorter style Outline Jodhpur boot is ideal for both horse and stable. Several other styles are available, and they all include a rubber-reinforced bridge that can withstand pressure from the stirrups. Like all Grubs, they are fully waterproof and are clean up after mucking out the stables.
Gardening and leisure
There are Grubs wellies in all shapes and sizes, and the Midline is a perfect example. This low-calf boot is made to the same standard as the Frostline, completely waterproof and warm. It is ideal for slipping on for dog walking or situations when calves are not the right shape for full height wellies. This is also a popular gardening boot, ideal for digging.
Other garden shoes and clogs include the Woodline and All Terrain styles, easy to slip on at the back door. They are a unisex fit and have the benefit of being completely waterproof with a durable ribbed sole. They are some of the most popular camping and caravanning shoes because of how easy they are to slip on and off.
Rainline and Highline boots have the appearance of a traditional Wellington with the rubber shell extending right to the top. Rainline has a stretch panel at the back of the boot to ensure they fit the calf and Highline has the more traditional strap at the side. Both have a classic feel and perform like a field boot with their SUPERDRI lining. The Rainline has a cleverly designed TRAX sole adding extra grip, whilst the Highline has the TRAK sole, more similar to a tractor tread.
