Lots of garden designs just needs that extra finishing touch to complete the look and this is where a garden mirror comes into play. The correct positioning of a mirror can give the illusion of greater depth to your garden, it can reflect a planting scheme and so for example enable you to see the 360 view of a wall mounted hanging basket or a planted window box with reflection behind. Many garden walls or fences can become a focal point with the addition of a reflective mirror, especially as they are designed to give the illusion of a window.
Pressure treated wooden styles such as those by Zest 4 Leisure are ideal if you are fitting them on brick walls, or they can work well mounted on the blank elevation of a shed or a garden building, so detracting your vision from the building to the reflective image of your garden.Shop all wooden garden mirrors >>
Galvanised metal garden mirrors are another option, as these are designed to look like a replica Gothic church window, making them the ideal option for renovated homes and gardens as they offer an historical appearance. The glass in these mirrors by Framemaker are all true outdoor glass and so they offer a very clear reflective vision.
We would never recommend hanging a mirror for the garden on a south facing wall, as the reflective nature could cause damage and therefore careful consideration on the positional aspect must be made, however, north, east and west positions are fine. Most styles come with either D fixings mounted on the back and so hanging the mirror is as simple as hanging an indoor version.
