We will keep you updated via e-mail and telephone if there are unfortunate delays. Most items include FREE DELIVERY however some items may attract an additional fee depending on the combination of products ordered or location. Any additional shipping costs will be cleared with the cardholder before dispatch and confirmation of order acceptance.
Online Payment Security
The Internet Gardener Ltd has taken the decision not to store sensitive credit card data on our computers. Instead it is stored securely on the Protx encrypted payment system. This helps us to ensure the highest level of security for both online and telephone payments. All transaction information is encrypted using 128 bit SSL certificates, and so ensuring that your card details are secure throughout the entire process of purchasing from our website, and this is the reason that you won’t see the padlock symbol until reaching the payment pages.
WEEE Regulation 2006
Under the above regulations we will accept at our business address (weekdays only from 12.30pm to 4.00pm) old electrical equipment on a one for one basis for new purchases of equipment of equal type to the new purchase. As all of the electrical equipment we distribute comes from intermediary stockists via various couriers, it is impractical to return old equipment with the courier service making the final delivery.
The purpose of the WEEE Regulations is to improve the % of recycled electrical equipment for the benefit of the environment, thus reducing the presence of hazardous substances in electrical equipment. In essence, the regulations aim to minimise the disposal of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste.
Waste Electrical Equipment includes batteries. Unless these and other hazardous items are disposed of correctly there is a chance toxins could be released into the ground and thereafter into watercourses.
As the goods we sell are distributed nationwide, it may be more prudent to take waste electrical equipment to your local authority recycling centre - far more environmentally friendly for the majority of customers than driving to Nottingham. To this end we are collating a schedule of Local Authority recycling centres, from which you can safely dispose of waste electrical equipment nearer to your home.
We will continue to update this section with information on the crossed waste bin symbol in the near future.
