An artist in London has created a tropical garden on a suburban street, it has emerged.
Stepping out into the garden is like embarking on an adventure into an unknown landscape, the Telegraph has reported.
The newspaper has claimed avid entertainers looking to recreate such adventure to act as a backdrop for their outdoor kitchen can do so with some simple plant additions.
To achieve the look it is advised that gardeners plant tropical-looking palms and tree palms such as the dicksonia antarctica and combine it with spiky yuccas and cordylines.
Pseudopanax, which the BBC has stated is native to New Zealand, will add structure and an exotic touch while chionochloa rubra - an unusual grass that turns red from autumn into winter - will add colour.
Al fresco dining can be achieved through the creation of a table from salvaged wood and to top it all off a range of architectural foliage plants can be placed in pots to give a tropical effect, it was advised.
