Weeds can be the bane of any gardener''s life but with tools like the Garden Angels Weeding Sets a tough job can be made easy.
The Daily Mail recently reported on one particular weed that can grow at the rate of nearly a foot a week, can get through concrete and "strangles any plant in its path".
While gardeners may try to attack it with tools such as those in the Garden Angels Weeding Set, it will return if even a small part of the weed is not dealt with.
Japanese knotweed, Fallopia japonica, was introduced to the country in the mid-19th century as "an attractive species from abroad", but has since taken over.
Now the paper claims that scientists from the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International has submitted plans to the governmetn to introduce a ''psyllid'' insect called Aphalara itadori to the country that could kill the weed.
If permission was granted it would seem like a drastic measure. Meanwhile gardeners can fight back against weeds with the Garden Angels Weeding Sets.
They come with a weeding knife, a dandelion weeder and a deep root weeder that will uproot unwanted garden invaders.
