A garden that was the target of a range of thefts has been spruced up by a generous donation, according to a report.
The Ross-shire Journal relayed that the Spa Pavilion Gardens in Ross-shire had numerous plants and shrubs stolen last month but a kind benefactor has since offered to replace the items.
Recent research by comparethemarket.com has revealed that 1.2 million properties in Britain have been the victim of garden robberies.
This example highlights the importance of insuring products such as garden furniture.
Citing the study, easier.com has claimed over a quarter of green-fingered Brits do not include their Rattan garden furniture and plants in their insurance policies.
Alistair Sutherland, owner of a local nursery, read about the story in newspaper and offered to help.
He is said to have donated over 30 plants - consisting of azalea, cornus, hydrangea and rhododendron.
Commenting on the theft, Mr Sutherland said: "It was a shame something like that can happen, especially when people put a lot of time and work into taking care of it."
